I want to start by saying I am addicted to TL Smith's writing. The #SmirnovBratva series is one of my all time favourites and was always going to be a action packed ride.Right from Book 1 you are introduced to the firecracker herself Freya, now Smith knows how to write Strong Female leads and Freya is one Bad Ass chick. She is not afraid of much and gives every bit as good as she gets!
That is until she is told she is to Marry Viktor...oh he is the real deal and will challenge her in the badass dept and bend her will. There is definite fireworks when these 2 are involved, just who will win this battle of the wills?
Defiance (as it's so aptly named) is book 3 in the series and explains Freya to a T, it will give the reader a mix of light and oh so dark. The sex is off the charts and downright dirty. I love that we get more of Kazier & Elina and Death & Pollie....oh and let's not forget about that wisecracking smart arse, all talk hot AF Anton. I Fully recommend this series, it's one hell of a ride.

Defiance by T.L. Smith.......Oh my, this book will not let you put it down until you finish it. I am loving this series, so dark and gritty. I loved this story for Viktor and Grey's, they were promised to each other. If you like the edge of your seat reads, then this one is for you. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This is my first Russian mafia book and my last. I couldn't even finish it. STUPID book. The main female character got on my nerves. I just wanted someone to shoot her. This book didn't make sense. Boring comes to mind. Horrible. I purchased this book because Jake is on the cover. Like the old saying goes, "Never judge a book by its cover" so true.
Defiance is the third brilliant instalment in the Smirnov Bratva series and it was just as brilliant as its predecessors.
Freya and Viktor had a a chemistry that was explosive but they were both in denial. Choosing to look the other way in disagreement over their "forced marriage". They need to learn to trust and let go. But seeing and trusting what is in front of them is not so easy for two strong and independent people.
I was so glad we got to see the growth of the side characters and had many giggles along the way.
I loved Freya and Victor's book! She's such a b*dass and doesn't take crap from anyone. She was originally supposed to marry Kaizer then they told her she had to marry Victor and then they tried it again and she was like screw this and all of you. I also loved how she made Victor sweat after he pulled some not ok stuff on her. Hr finally decides he wants to fight for her and she's all nope I'm moving back to my apartment lol. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes mafia books. You won't be disappointed at all. TL Smith you are absolutely brilliant!
I've read all 3 books book1 we are introduced to fraya she was to marry krazier but he falls in love with Elina the Russians Italian enemies now fraya has to marry krazier 2nd Viktor this is Fraya an Viktor story.....
These men r brutal like seriously, I really felt for Fraya from the 1st book she stood by these people even after being pushed to the side an after marrying Viktor she is forced to be sold an guess who delivers her to the seller yip her so called friends an husband. I was hoping she would slice Krazier n his wife throats I honestly can't stand those 2. Death n Pollie r Kool an Viktor does eventually redeem himself but still I of all the woman in this series Fraya rocks. But dammmm this series is brutal but gooooooooood.
Finally the love story between Freya and Victor. It's a forced, arranged marriage mafia romance.
They like each other but they don't want to marry each other. The very day of her wedding, she walks out when Pollie goes into labor and has her baby boy. Yay!
Their wedding night is horrible. Shortly afterwards she's forced to marry someone else, she runs away, is trafficked and rescued by her brother's friend. She gets her revenge by killing Kaziers father and step mom.
It takes forever for Freya to forgive Victor and it takes him forever to prove that she's important to her. Poor sweet babies. I'm glad they make it back to each other and with a baby on the way.
T.L. Smith never seizes to amaze me with her compelling writing and captivating characters. This series is by far one of my favorite mafia romances. This author definitely didn't disappoint with the third installment in the series. The Smirnov Bratva series has become one of my favorite mafia romances. After reading book one and two, I was very excited to dive in book three. You know you're reading a good book when you're simply unable to put it down. Honestly it didn't take me very long to devour this book because I just couldn't get enough of this highly addictive story. Victor and Freya's story had me hooked from the first page to the last. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of Freya from the previous books, I was curious to see how her story would unfold especially in her relationship with Viktor. I really enjoyed the dynamic and angst between these two characters. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and highly entertaining especially during their steamy love scenes. But I must admit that there were times that I was truly frustrated with them. At times, I wished they would get over their issues and just admit their feelings for one other. On the other hand, I could understand why they behaved the way they did. Another aspect of this story that I enjoyed was the amazing cast of secondary characters. I loved these characters in the previous books so I was very happy to see them reappear in this book three once again. This author has such an amazing ability of creating lovable and colorful characters that are hard to ignore. In addition, I am very interested in seeing how the story will continue to unfold in the next book for certain secondary characters. Defiance is a definite must read mafia romance series that will leave you begging for more.
